Stay Tuned...

Yesterday we attended the oath taking ceremony. As we stood in a room full of families with their new children, right hands raised, stating that all information given was true to the best of our knowledge...I was moved to tears...what a powerful close to an incredible journey.
Will will now become a citizen of the United States when we land and go through customs in New Jersey. In just a few hours, we will receive his passport/visa and board a bus for Hong Kong. We will then fly out of Hong Kong on Sunday. Please pray for safe travel. Pray also that Will will tolerate the long flight.
This is our last post from China; however, I will post updates after we return home so that you can follow Will's progress. We cannot wait to share him with you all. Thank you for praying with us and for us over the past 4 1/2 years as we have waited to bring our precious baby home. Words are inadequate to express the indescribable joy that we feel.
We look forward to seeing all of our children playing together...Kai, we are bringing brother home! Thanks for all of the e-mails and comments...what an encouragement! We are honored that you followed this portion of our journey...stay tuned for great things to come!

  2. Jay, Paula, Abbie, and Kai: Especially to say "WHAT A WONDERFUL "GOD" we have. I am so excited for the family. Of course I haven't seen Kai, and now there is Will. Maybe someday your parents and I can get together and go to see the whole family.

I am praying you have a safe and blessed journey home. Abbie, be sure tao take care of Will. I know you really miss Kia, and, of course he missed his big sister.

    Love to all

  3. Hi Folks, By now you are home and settling in. We "almost" got to meet you at the airport, but we missed the time by one day. We were in Houston Saturday, but had to leave Sunday a.m. for our vacation. So... we are looking forward to seeing you next week. I can just imagine the fun times you are having and all the special moments you are fixing in your memory of those babies playing together, and being loved on by their big sister. Enjoy every minute of these special days of the "beginning" of your "new" family. Too sweet.

We love y'all and can't wait to see you.

  4. Well, words are certainly inadequate - but pictures say everything! I love the ones of Will and Abby - she is gonna have her hands full with 2 balls of energy to contend with! And the sheer pride and joy in y'all's faces is moving and precious - and so, so due! This has been a long journey but we have all learned so much just by watching, waiting and praying for you all! Paula - I think its adorable the way Will's dressed - looks just like your kid - you could pick him out of a line up, I swear! And Jay, I would have loved to see the 2 tall Americans at the little Japanese table - actually, that would make a pretty funny re-enactment someday (how much did it cost you to sit on the floor and eat stuff you didn't recognize?)! Well, my friends, your beautiful 4 bedroom home and your blessed lives will be filled with children - as it should be! I'm so glad I have been along for the ride!
    All my love,
    Tami
